dinamo.fm started broadcasting in November 2003 on Istanbul’s 103.8 FM, bringing electronic, dance, indie and urban music to the city. From the beginning, it has been a place to discover independent music and give artists and DJs room to create.
After ten years on FM, we moved our focus to the web and mobile. There was too much music we wanted to share to keep it all on one frequency. Today, nine channels let us follow different moods, sounds and hours of the day.
People choose the music here. Each channel has its own curators, its own character and the care that comes from someone wanting you to hear something special.
The energy of dinamo.fm reaches far beyond the studio. Having hosted over 200 events—including festivals, concerts, and parties—dinamo.fm has connected audiences throughout Turkey with world-class talent such as Orbital, John Digweed, Tom Middleton, François K, Sven Väth, DJ Harvey, Damian Lazarus, Mr. C, Sandy Rivera, Trentemøller, Locodice, Nouvelle Vague, Jazzanova, Goldie, Groove Armada, Kelis, Marilyn Manson, Beirut, The Magic Numbers and many more...
Find your sound ↗We’re dinamo.fm: independent radio from Istanbul, founded in November 2003. We started on terrestrial 103.8 FM frequency and now broadcast online, sharing electronic, indie, urban and dance music while creating space for artists and DJs. Our story also includes more than 200 events, from intimate parties to concerts and festivals.
One frequency could never hold all the music we wanted to share. Moving online let us build distinct channels for different moods and bring them to listeners wherever they are — with the sound quality the music deserves.
Because every channel needs attention. People select and shape the music here, and building a channel with a real personality takes time. We’d rather give each frequency that care than rush to add more.
